Chimney caps play an important role in the protection of your chimney. Chimney/Flue caps were designed to protect your chimney flue from debris, animals and water intrusion. Flue caps also have spark arrestor screens to help protect your roof from any escaping sparks. Unfortunately over the years it's become clear flue caps are not the correct solution to protect your chimney.
While it’s clear flue caps help protect the flue, they actually hurt your chimney stack and crown. Traditional flue caps were not designed with the chimney stack in mind, they shed water off of the cap right onto the crown, which if not built properly, allows water to run down the stack causing deterioration and water intrusion.
That's why we now only offer premium custom built chimney caps. They do everything a traditional flue cap does, while shedding water away from your chimney stack with a 2” overhang. Extending the life of your chimney and saving you from costly repairs down the line.

Flue Extender Caps
Many masonry chimneys do not meet minimum code-height requirements and have the potential to be a serious fire hazard. Also, many draft issues can be attributed to a chimney being too short. These caps keep sparks off your roof and assist in a strong chimney draft.
Prefab Chimney Cap
